  • Dia de La Hispanidad

    September 16, 2024

    Opening Hispanic Heritage Month celebrating La Hispanidad and Mexican Independence Day with an incredible performance by Mexico en el Corazón and bands representing various Latino countries. Joined by La Mega 97.9, festivities will be from 1 - 8 pm. 

  • Día de los Muertos

    November 2, 2024

    In collaboration with the Department of Transportation, the Mexican Consulate, and local partners, we will honor El Día de los Muertos (Day of the Dead). This event will feature traditional performances, altars, catrinas and activities that celebrate this meaningful tradition of remembering loved ones.

Hosted by the NYC Department of Transportation, and in partnership with community leaders and organizations, Latinos in Times Square will celebrate significant moments for the Latino culture. Last year, the largest event celebrating culture in Times Square took place on November 2nd for the Day of the Dead. Over 2 million people enjoyed the exhibit of Catrinas over five days culminating with music from regions in Mexico, folkloric dance and traditional performance and art. 

This year, Latinos in Times Square, will open Hispanic Heritage Month with a celebration on September 16th honoring Mexican Independence Day with the incredible performance by Mexico en el Corazon, and joined by bands representing Latino countries celebrating unity and La Hispanidad.
